Hi everyone,

I want to share with you my experience yesterday. I had my first fish and chips takeout, the famous British speciality. Before trying this glorious British classic, I wasn’t sure of the combination of having fish with chips, what a weird idea! But it was actually surprisingly really tasty!

I recommend you to go to Golden Union restaurant which is located at 38 Poland Street in Soho. It’s a welcoming place which made me think about an old 50’s restaurant. I liked the fact that you can see the guy cooking your fish in front of you. I advise ordering a small cod and try their homemade tartar sauce as well as the mushy peas, which is another British speciality. Of course don’t forget the chips!

I have been told that another fish and chips restaurant worth a visit in the Marylebone area, it is called “The Sea Shell of Lisson Grove” and is supposed to be the best in London. Rumour has it that the Queen herself orders her food from this place.

Here are 3 good reasons to try this typical food before leaving:

*You’ll be full for at least 2 days.

*Even if it is not the healthiest meal you’ve ever eaten, it makes you eat fish!

*It’s a great English culinary experience to be tried at least once.

I hope you’ll try it! Let me know what you think.

Have a good day =)
