Study abroad for 1 semester

As a student at the University of Derby, you have the opportunity to study or work abroad as part of your programme with Go Places Go Further.  Studying or working abroad is a fantastic opportunity to see more of the world, become a global citizen, and gain a new perspective on your subject, whilst gaining invaluable transferable skills and experience. You will meet new people from the host country and other countries, and future employers will be impressed when they review your CV.

Our Go Places, Go Further programme enables us as University to provide study and work opportunities both in the EU (Funded by Erasmus+) along with opportunities further afield within other countries across the globe.

Opportunities are open to all University of Derby undergraduate and postgraduate students registered on a full-time or part-time course. It is open to UK, EU and international students. If you are an international student, please enquire with the International Student Centre (ISC) first in terms of visa restrictions.

Expert teaching and class size

With a wealth of industry experience, many of our lecturers still work part-time in their field so you know their skills are up to date and reflect latest developments in their area.

You’ll get plenty of time with them too. Small class sizes and one-to-one time with your lecturers and personal tutors mean you’ll be supported every step of the way. Over 85% of our classes have fewer than 30 students.

Despite being only 2 hours away from London, the cost of living for students in Derby is very reasonable and much cheaper than in many larger cities cost of living in this exciting student town is half of the capital city, therefore you can save your money for exciting trips abroad and over the weekend. Derby is approved to use and retail the full treatment offering of the prestigious international brands Elemis and Ishga.
